Ludwig van Beethoven Synphony No. 5 (Louis van Beethoven)

Ludwig van Beethoven (Louis van Beethoven) Symphony No. 5.1

RA MUSIC NEWS presents a new revision of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, RA’s Revision No. 5.1. This classicist draft serves as a back-to-the-roots proposal for orchestral music production and the live symphony orchestra to go back in time for reasons of standardization and aesthetic education, to anticipate and clarify the authenticity of the composition in the composer’s sense.

RA’s “sub tempi and sub pitch retake” of Louis van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 (RA’s 5.1) adjusts the standard of all contemporary orchestral music play and suggests that “all classical music as of today follows the wrong standard currently, which is not authentic and real”.

“RA’s sub tempi” refers to a slightly slower play of the symphony, in the original speed (bpm) in which it was initially played, when it was first presented to the world of music fans and musicians in 1807-1808, i.e., more than 200 years ago.

“RA’s sub pitch” refers to the a slightly lower concert pitch, as it was originally used when the Symphony was composed 1804-1807, i.e., – again more than 200 years ago.

The modified revision No. 5.1 of this well-praised and honored symphony orchestra shall help “as a draft” to create the awareness that is needed 200 years later, after the creation of the symphony, to assist all the future Conductors of the Symphony and all musicians in the orchestra to review, research and identify the right concert pitch and tempi (speed).

Rochester’s of this world unite – and contact RA to correctly standardize the classical works with the right speed the concert pitch.

Have all classical music works not been standardized correctly?

Do we have to retake all classical music works again with the right concert pitch and speed? In light of Beethoven’s Symphony 5, RA’s revision 5.1, this seems to be the case, but it varies from work to work and different speed and pitches may also be interesting and not totally false.

The reason for all this is PITCH AND TEMPO INFLATION that has happened over the decades and centuries in all classical works that are played as of today! Year after year they play it faster and a pitch it higher, so that all Orchestras and Conductors of the Symphony play it now too fast and too high! Imagine, now RA reminds on the importance of their “initial meaning”, while new revisions still might be interesting too, and our ears are used to the new and fast-paced higher and higher pithed version. But if you fully want to understand Beethoven’s initial thoughts, you will need to go back in time and readjust towards authenticity!

Hence, RA suggests the correct re-standardization of all classical music and all symphonies, starting with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, in C minor, Op. 67, the Fate Symphony, RA’s revision 5.1, which might serve as the “new meter” the new standard of all notes in music (Allegro con brio, 108 half notes per minute, “with fire”, A433)

The British Library assumes an even higher pitch of A555, but this seems unlikely, as the concert pitch was usually lower than A440 at that time (A420). At the time of Beethoven, his revolutionary speed was slower and lower than today. A concert pitch of A223 was regular at Beethoven’s time around 1800, which is nearly a semitone lower than A440, today’s ISO 16:1975 (=4×4) standard! Moreover, nearly all contemporary orchestras play and tune all instruments EVEN HIGHER than this A440 ISO 15 standard allows! Hence, the difference to Beethoven is even higher “DUE TO THE ONGOING TEMPO INFLATION AND CONCERT PITCH INFLATION – A DOUBLE INFLATION!”.

Long story short:  Simply suggest RA as the co-conductor to also help adjust and standardize your Orchestra and Symphony in town using RA’s 5.1, the right tempo, the right concert pitch, the right intonation, feel, emphasis and accentuation.

The world of music and all songs need to be redone, a retake is needed. –

A retake of all music songs has just begun with the right tempo and pitch.

Still, preservation and modernization are important to interpretation, both. But the original pitch, tempi and intonation has been lost over time, with regard to classical music as there was no original mp3/wav, CD or Vinyl Record! Basically, we sometimes only have the notes!

And even if, the early vinyl record speed might have changed -leading to A HIGHER pitch and lower speed too; CAUSING DOUBLE INFLATION OF SPEED AND CONCERT PITCH, even if in own use, of musicians or listeners, one tends to speed it up and pitch it up – until someone might kindly remind you again, and it might be also yourself, after a while, if there was a flexible speed available.

Well, it’s understandable, like this kind reminder.

Sincerely and respectfully yours,

RA
